Utah lawmakers hear differing climate change views

I hear a lot of conservative alleging that their is no relation to human and climate change, but I wonder where they get their evidence.  Many scientist agree that the earth is warmer than is should be, and that evidence is based on scientific data, empirical data, yet the opposing scientist only state that more evidence is needed.  Okay, more evidence is needed, but what we have is a good enough reason to start making plans, and if a few years later we get the evidence from the opposing scientist they okay, but I hope that it would mean the people can continue trashing our earth.

Should people leave their trash in the street, and do they think that earth will clean itself?  They seem to  have a lot of fear and allege that this is a fear tactic, but I dispute that it’s a fear tactic because we have known about the climate changes for more than thirty years.  I remember seen a film and learning about changes brought about by human carelessness on the planet we call home more than thirty years ago. So, this can not be some alleged “fear tactic” because fear tactics require an immediate reaction, such as alleging their are terrorists all around us, so the President ends all domestic freedoms in order to combat this alleged terrorist, this is called fear tactics when it’s not even true.

Global warming knowledge has been around for decades, and many educated people already know about it.  Many have taken steps [little steps], but at least people started decades ago by recycling or composts.  It’s not that hard however more needs to be done by everyone in order to lower the C02 [350] levels in our air.

I see that some people seem to have a fear of losing jobs, but if that is the case then make jobs, their are jobs that can replace jobs that are pollutants to the earth, yet America is dragging it’s feet so that other country’s are taking up those jobs.  Last I heard China is the leader in creating wind driven power because American’s don’t want to do that.  Sounds very familiar with the High Speed Rail 30 years ago, that American’s also didn’t want to do, so the creator went to Europe to do it.

These conservatives in politics continue to hold back progress of this country.  That’s very sad!  It’s a wonder why 1 out of 6 American’s live in poverty because politicians keep holding us back, lets move forward and advance our country into the 21st century.

What you take must be replaced it’s as simple as that.  Tree’s clean our air, they take the C02 out of our air and give us O2 to breath.  If human’s continue to create C02, and cut down trees what do you think would happen?  That is basic science, but there are also more examples piling up!

Earth can not clean itself if the humans that create the excessive trash do nothing to help clean it, do you think earth will pick up your trash?  Earth needs help, what is so hard about helping keep earth clean?  Some of  you may live in small middle America where you don’t see what is happening, but look around you, look in other places, look at other countries and learn about other cultures and their history because their own history tells a story that climate change is happening.

I for one want to be clean, and I want a clean earth to live in.

Clean is a good thing! Don’t be afraid of cleanliness.

Utah lawmakers hear differing climate change views

Utah lawmakers are getting competing views on climate change, one emphasizing the vast scientific consensus about warming trends and humanity’s influence and another raising doubts about the root causes.

At a standing-room-only hearing at the Capitol Wednesday, the Public Utilities and Technology Interim Committee heard 90 minutes of testimony on climate change.

University of Utah scientist James Steenburgh, who led a state science panel on the expected effects of global warming in Utah, emphasized that temperatures are gradually rising and people are very likely to blame.

But University of Alabama researcher Roy Spencer offered doubts about that conclusion and said natural climate cycles should be more thoroughly investigated.

Lawmakers held the hearing as they follow Congress’ consideration of carbon cap and trade legislation.

Out of Control Evangelical Christian’s on a Cruisade

This is what happens when Evangelical’s are allowed to control the people. Let’s hope we all stand for and defend Separation of Church and State laws in America, otherwise this crusade will start in the United States, AGAIN!  Keep religion out of politics, and don’t make laws favoring religious dogma or religious fatwa’s.  America takes pride in itself with the separation of church and state laws, but more recently voters voted in favor of a religious fatwa in California, and these same types of Evangelical Christian’s are moving across the states to change laws through voter fear tactics in favor of religious dogma.

Wake up people or the Crusades, Salem Witch Trials, or the Inquisitions will take place once again in the America’s.  Religious dogma should not be forced on those of us who do not practice that dogma, and children should be protected from the harm they may inflict upon them as a result of that dogmatic view.

If they had their way the killings would start today.

Beware of the history they try to distort.  Some of them allege things like the Holocaust, the First American Genocide never existed or happened in order to bolster alleged kindness toward the first people here, when they considered them “devils” fit for killing and taking of their land.  You think these people got rich by hard work, the land is stolen land.  Let’s not forget about the Christian terrorists of which the media doesn’t even mention, but they sure mention alleged Islamic “terrorists” and don’t even ask why they exist.

Many of our ancestors came here because they were persecuted for who they were by religious fanatics.  Stand up and defend Separation of Church and State!

Churches involved in torture, murder of thousands of African children denounced as witches

EKET, Nigeria (AP) — The nine-year-old boy lay on a bloodstained hospital sheet crawling with ants, staring blindly at the wall.

His family pastor had accused him of being a witch, and his father then tried to force acid down his throat as an exorcism. It spilled as he struggled, burning away his face and eyes. The emaciated boy barely had strength left to whisper the name of the church that had denounced him — Mount Zion Lighthouse.

A month later, he died.

Nwanaokwo Edet was one of an increasing number of children in Africa accused of witchcraft by pastors and then tortured or killed, often by family members. Pastors were involved in half of 200 cases of “witch children” reviewed by the AP, and 13 churches were named in the case files. [read full article]

Conservatives remove “liberal” passages from the bible

Who are they to determine what part of “gods” word is “liberal?”  Are they “gods” to think they can circumvent “gods” word?

This is so hilarious, and just proves my point in previous posts about how they’ve been rewriting the bible since the inquisitions. They do it so that it suits their own needs, and this just validates that the bible is simply written by men, and it’s not the word of “god” or “jesus” because it’s their own words.  Rewritten and retranslated who knows how many times.  The cronology doesn’t fit, it contradicts itself page after page because they’ve been removing information from it.

People just walk away from it, it’s all a farce.

Conservatives remove liberal passages from the Bible

“The eager young men at Conservapedia are p.o.’d that the Bible might be seen as too liberal. So they’ve come up with the Wiki-style Conservative Bible Project, to make sure the Lord doesn’t go all wobbly on us.”

Conservatives Glad Chicago Lost the Olympic Bid

Their such a waste to this country!

They protest and take delight that Chicago didn’t win the Olympics because Our President spoke in favor of it?  If he hadn’t spoken in favor of it, I’m sure they wouldn’t have taken delight.  They’re pitiful, they want President Obama to fail as President and they are doing everything they can to prevent any of his policies to pass.  The Republican GOP and their fanatical religious right winged groups are useless to this countries progress.  They’ve had the White House and congress for at least eight years, and they did nothing but put American in debt in the trillions, took us to wars for alleged terrorist in a country that didn’t even hold Bin Laden along with more than 4000 US Soldiers killed, in the name of their conservatism.  The country’s infrastructure is falling apart, we have children who are going to bed hungry, and most of the homeless in America are veterans.  After eight years of Bush GOP conservatism we now have whole families that are homeless.

We voted for change in 2008, and now these conservative fanatical religious GOP groups are doing everything they possibly can to prevent any policy of President Obama’s to succeed.

What do they do for America, nothing.

Conservatives Delight In Olympic Snub To Obama

U.S. conservatives are celebrating like Brazilians after the failure of Chicago to win the 2016 Olympics despite the Copenhagen lobbying efforts of President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama to bring home the gold, as it were.

And their joy seems only magnified by Chicago being dumped from the competition for the games after just the first round of voting.

Parks and Our environment should be respected and cared for generations to come

and Inhofe say’s that “god” is still up there as if he is not down here or anywhere else!

When I was growing up I was taught that god is all around us and within us all.  Having said that we should all respect the environment instead of trashing it, as well as respect the things around us.  It’s what the First American’s believed as well; they took care of the land and respected what was in it, and used only what they needed, but when the third wave of immigrants came to this land and brought with them their views of god.  They destroyed and trashed much of the land along with killing these First American’s and took their lands, it’s how they were able to get rich so fast.

Even today, these same types of religious people don’t give a damn about our country or the affects they are causing to it, and they’d rather ignore the evidence ,scientific evidence, over their dogmatic view and/or hate toward a person who is educating people about these issues.  It’s amazing to see the venom spewing from their mouths about people who want to protect our environment.  These are alleged “god” fearing people?

Ken Burns on His National Parks Documentary

What is it that you love so much about the parks?
They could’ve only been invented in America, where people were free, and it isn’t just a political freedom—this is where I think we get all tangled up in knots all the time. The original impulse of the national parks is spiritual. In the United States, the first tangible manifestations of this is the transcendental movement, and later the Hudson River/Rocky Mountain School of Art: it’s saying that you could find God in nature more easily than through a dogmatic devotion that required you to find God in a cathedral built by the hands of man.

The Boycot of Glen Beck Shows and Fox for Hate Speech

I don’t understand why Fox has some one that keeps spreading lies and hate toward other people, is that what Fox is about?

Obama is multi-ethnic and his mother is Caucasian!   It’s silly for this guy to say Obama has “deep seated hatred for white people”  those are not facts.  Obama loved his grandmother who’s of Caucasian origins or “white” as that guy would like to put it.

Him insinuated that Obama is a Nazi is oxymoron because Nazi‘s as well as the KKK are the ones who keep pushing some alleged “white” culture!  We are American’s and we live in an American culture which is a diverse culture and should be free according to our constitutions.

People like Glen Beck are the ones who are anti-American and spreading hate towards other American’s who are not Caucasian, and if people like him don’t like it, then they should go back to England.

These people should make up their minds on who they hate as well, they used to hate the French because they were against Bush policies, now they’re alleging Obama is against “white” people!  What a joke of a show!  I’m sure the only people taking pleasure in his antics are those hate groups, Nazi’s, KKK, KKKK and other fanatical Christian groups that target REAL American’s.  Educate yourself about religious fascists, terrorists and fanatical groups [Jim Jones, Timothy McVeigh, Branch Davidian, etc.]

Glen Beck is preaching to people hate, and how many people are listening to his hate speaches?  How many people who know nothing about the truth, and all their lives have listened to people like Glen Beck preaching hate toward other people in the church’s alleging some conspiracy against “white” people?

Apple targeted in Fox News ad boycott

Apple (AAPL), a company that counts Al Gore among its board members and whose CEO once dated Joan Baez, found itself the unlikely target of an advertising boycott campaign this week.

The issue is an iPhone ad that appeared on the Aug. 7 broadcast of the Glenn Beck show on the Fox News Channel (NWS).

Under pressure from advocacy groups, more than a dozen companies, including ConAgra (CAG), Geico, Procter & Gamble (PG) and Progressive (PRG), have pulled their commercials from the conservative commentators’ show. (See here.)

The boycott was launched last month by ColorofChange.org after Beck made remarks on Fox and Friends that labeled President Obama a “racist” with a “deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture.”

Religion’s that teach people they will be forgiven for their sins should be banished!

Why does society automatically blame alleged ‘reclusive’ and quiet, and/or people with psychological trauma for these kinds of crimes?  When you automatically blame it on those issues, society turns it’s head on the real problem.

He’s obviously had an issue with sex, so why do American’s have an issues with sex? [Sex is great and everyone should enjoy it, no matter what!  He could have gone to a sex worker for his needs, if he didn’t have a relationship to share it with]

He had a problem with young “white” democrats supporting Obama because he was “black,” so why did he have that problem? [BTW, Obama is multi-ethnic, he has a Caucasian mother and African father.  But why was he having a problem with Obama being President?]

Why did he assume that his killing would be forgive by his “god,” and who’s telling him these kinds of lies?

[Our deeds are never forgive,  we all need to take responsibility for our actions because what you do to harm other people whether killing, discrimination, hate-mongering and targeting groups of other people just because you don’t like what they do will all come back to you as a result of your bad actions toward others, this is called Karma.  People will suffer the consequences of their deeds that harm others either now or later, it will all come back to you.  People are NOT forgiven!  Killing is wrong, no matter what! I don’t care what Christianity will say! Killing is wrong under any circumstances! No justification for it!]

To many religious groups are telling people that sex is bad, and that they shouldn’t have sex until they are married, this is not true.  To many religious groups are telling people that their sins will be forgive, and that is not true.  To many fanatical religious republican’s are continuously badgering Obama because they don’t’ want a Black man being the President of their white America, and the news media continuously and repetitively preaches this kind of crap.  His preacher, though his preacher denies preaching this, told him that even a mass murder would be forgiven of their sins!!  WTF is that all about?

Religion?  Christianity teaches followers that sex is wrong, it teaches that the races should be separated, and it teaches people that god will forgive them of their sins!! BULL!

Why did he have so many guns?  Having so many guns should have sent a message because a killers tool of the trade is a weapon, and weapons are used to kill.  Religion and guns, do not mix well!

Gunman at Pa. Health Club Was Bitter Over Women

George Sodini seethed with anger and frustration toward women. He couldn’t understand why they ignored him, despite his best efforts to look nice. He hadn’t had a girlfriend since 1984, hadn’t slept with a woman in 19 years. ”Women just don’t like me. There are 30 million desirable women in the US (my estimate) and I cannot find one. Not one of them finds me attractive,” the 48-year-old computer programmer lamented in a chilling diary he posted on the Internet.

For months, he also wrote vaguely about using guns to carry out his ”exit plan” at his health club, where lots of young women worked out.

On Tuesday, Sodini put his plan into action.

He went to the sprawling L.A. Fitness Club in this Pittsburgh suburb, turned out the lights on a dance-aerobics class filled with women, and opened fire with three guns, letting loose with a fusillade of at least 36 bullets.

He killed three women and wounded nine others before committing suicide.

”He just had a lot of hatred in him and (was) hell-bent on committing this act, and no one was going to stop him,” Allegheny County Police Superintendent Charles Moffatt said Wednesday.

Sodini’s Christian teaching taught him that he’d be forgive of his sin’s!!  Christian’s shouldn’t be telling people that crap!  They need to teach them that people are responsible for their own sins [hate, killings, negative thoughts, hate-mongering or doing any kind of harm to anyone else, either targeted discrimination or physical harm], and they will suffer the consequences of those actions either now or in another life time.  If they don’t teach people that belittling or targeting other groups of people is wrong then this stuff will always be around, and the news media is also to blame for it’s repetitive practices that target groups of people!  It’s called hate, and they will suffer those karmic consequences now or later, in another life.

“Failures in Love”
Although Sodini called religion a “waste,” he wrote that the Rev. Rick Knapp, his former pastor at the nondenominational Tetelestai Church in Plum, “teaches (and convinced me) you can commit mass murder then still go to heaven.”

Clueless ancien-régime conservatives trying hard to hang on to their traditional feudal system

This is a great article!  I know I’ve been seeing a lot of these social conservative do these things for the past 20 years which btw it’s bad for the Republican party.  The Republican party shouldn’t have allowed that kind of dogma to enter into it’s party because now I see the party as hypocritical, and since I don’t like being hypocritical, I left the party long ago.  I’m sure true republican’s will feel the same way, and I’m glad that finally some are speaking out, like McCains mother!

The party as it is right now is about sex, and what they can do to stop it, except when it comes to them and their personal issues!  Very strange indeed!

They Got Some ’Splainin’ to Do

AS political theater, the Sonia Sotomayor hearings tanked faster than the 2008 Fred Thompson presidential campaign. They boasted no drama to rival the Clarence-Anita slapdown, the Bork hissy fits or the tearful exodus of Samuel Alito’s wife. There was rarely a moment to match even the high point of the Senate’s previous grilling of Sotomayor — in 1997, when she was elevated to the Second Circuit. It was then that Senator John Ashcroft of Missouri previewed the brand of white male legal wisdom that would soon become his hallmark at the Bush Justice Department. “Do you believe there’s a constitutional right to homosexual conduct by prisoners?” he asked. (She aced it: “No, sir.”)

Yet the Sotomayor show was still rich in historical significance. Someday we may regard it as we do those final, frozen tableaus of Pompeii. It offered a vivid snapshot of what Washington looked like when clueless ancien-régime conservatives were feebly clinging to their last levers of power, blissfully oblivious to the new America that was crashing down on their heads and reducing their antics to a sideshow as ridiculous as it was obsolescent.

Religious extremism at it’s best

This is so funny, and it brings out hidden issues in relation to religion that many don’t realize. I haven’t seen the movie, but I imagine it’s hilarious!  I’m laughing at the stunts, but at the same time I’m cringing at those “religious” people on how immediate they are willing to attack  another person.

Seems like the problems in that alleged “holy land” will always be about attacking and killing people, no matter what!

Go Bruno!

Bruno has a gay ole time in the Holy Land

Bruno’s flamboyant sashay across the Middle East has succeeded in one thing – uniting Sacha Baron Cohen’s unwitting Israeli and Palestinian victims in their joint disdain for his latest comedic creation.

Bruno is an over-the-top gay Austrian fashionista with a Nazi streak whose goal is to become the biggest Austrian celebrity since Hitler. To do so he travels to America, where he is told he must take on a charitable cause to achieve worldwide fame. So he decides to bring peace to a troubled place he calls “Middle Earth.”

There, he nearly sparks a riot in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood in Jerusalem when he struts down the street in a sexed-up Hassidic outfit that includes skintight shorts. On the Palestinian side, he tries to convince a West Bank militant to kidnap him, while giving the man condescending fashion tips. Bruno confuses the popular chickpea spread “hummus” with the Islamic militant group “Hamas” when he tries to bring together Israeli and Palestinian personalities to make peace.

Adultery, Sex and the RNC GOP- Social Conservatives Infatuation with Sex

Another Republican Senator had an Affair!  It’s always those who point the finger and interfere with other peoples personal lives who are doing just what they are saying we can’t do.  They complain about OUR sex lives, which btw, is perfectly normal, yet here these social conservatives are telling us we should not being doing these things, yet they’re ALL  doing it themselves!

This reminds me of the ministers in my own church who preached against adultery, infidelity, homosexuality and any other word with the phrase that has anything to do with the word Sex!  OMG!  Sex!  OMG! …….  Guess what, these people were having sex with each other’s wives, not to mention other church leaders stealing from the donations, so they can buy new cars and homes when the church itself needed a new building.

Is sex the only word in these social conservatives vocabulary, or is it just when they don’t like other people having sex?

Wife of ex-GOP Rep. Pickering claims he had affair

The estranged wife of former U.S. Rep. Chip Pickering claims in a lawsuit that the Mississippi Republican had an affair that ruined their marriage and derailed his political career.

Leisha Pickering said in the lawsuit filed this week that her husband and the woman dated in college, reconnected and began having an affair while he was in Congress and living in a building where several Christian lawmakers reside on C Street near the U.S. Capitol. Chip Pickering is the third Republican with ties to the building at 133 C Street SE to find his personal life making headlines in recent weeks, after Nevada U.S. Sen. John Ensign and South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford.

Leisha Pickering is seeking unspecified damages in the alienation of affection lawsuit she filed this week against Elizabeth Creekmore Byrd of Jackson. The Pickerings filed for divorce in June 2008, but it is not complete.

Chip Pickering, 45, was elected to Congress in 1996, retired in January and is now a lobbyist in Washington for Cellular South, the company Creekmore Byrd’s family owns. The lawsuit does not say when the affair started.

He said in a statement Thursday that his marriage is irreparably damaged.
